CNC touch probe for Tool length measurement and break detection
Tool setter description
The tool setting instrument are a high-precision switch (probe), a
hard alloy tetrahedron (probe) with high hardness and wear
resistance (probe), and a signal transmission connector (other
parts omitted).The tetrahedral probe is used to contact the tool
and transmit the force to the high-precision switch through the
flexible support rod installed under it.The on and off signals sent
by the switch are transmitted to the CNC system for tool direction
identification, calculation, compensation, access and so on through
the signal transmission connector.
Tool setter function
1. It is used to measure the toool length,wear and break of CNC
machine tools.
2. Alarm will be given in case of over travel to prevent accidents.
3. Shorten the measuring time of tools and improve the running time
of machine tools.
4. Save manpower and prevent unqualified products.
Features
1. As the signal is output by directly contacting the leading edge
of the tool, it does not cause false positives and has high
reliability.
2. The internal switch is of the contact type with high precision
(repeatability: 1 μm), and is free of movement differential.
3. Since there is no need of an amplifier, there is no temperature
drift caused by self-generation and temperature
characteristic of the sensor unit.
4. Dustproof and waterproof structure has superior durability even
under harsh conditions caused by the presence of coolant
and cuttings.
5. Outputs over-travel warning signal.
